SIWES ORIENTATION FOR NCE STUDENTS

NCE year two Students on Thursday, 20th January, 2022 participated in an orientation course on Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) in preparation for their participation in the scheme.

The orientation was organised by SIWES unit of the College in collaboration with southeast zonal office of Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Awka area.

In his address, the College SIWES coordinator, Dr. Nzeribe T.A.K, urged the students to acquire useful industrial skills during the period. He said the Federal Government established SIWES to bridge the gap between theory and practical, noting that the scheme was strategically designed to prepare and expose students to industrial techniques.

Dr. Nzeribe appreciated the efforts of the College management led by the Provost, Dr. Tessy Okoli and appealed to the students to be good ambassadors, wherever they found themselves.

Staffs from College SIWES Unit present at the programme were Obiakor Emeka, Okoli Catherine, Anyachor Ngozi and Ike Cecilia. Also in attendance was the Sub-Dean Students affairs unit, Comrade Ndubuisi Onyemechera.
